Sonic’s Shoes: One of the most well-known video games and animated series is Sonic the Hedgehog, which was created by Naoto Ohshima and Yuji Uekawa. The computer game that had a big impact on millennials’ childhoods eventually became an animated series and movie.
The SEGA-owned video game franchise’s titular lead character also appears in a number of its offshoot comic books, anime series, and other mainstream media. Sonic is a blue hedgehog that resembles a person and has the ability to sprint at breakneck speeds and coil into a ball to strike foes. In the majority of games, Sonic must hurriedly complete levels while collecting power-up rings and dodging enemies and obstacles.
Due to its enormous popularity, the video game franchise has collaborated with multiple major brands throughout the years for a number of product launches and footwear creations. Additionally, the video game franchise teamed with well-known sportswear brands like PUMA and Fila to release certain limited edition pairs of shoes.

Sonic’s Shoes –
PUMA RS-0 x SEGA collection.
On June 12, 2018, the SEGA x PUMA RS-0 sneaker set went on sale. This pack came in two colourways: red and blue. Each pair of shoes cost $130 when purchased separately. The blue pair was inspired from “Sonic,” but the red pair paid recognition to “Dr. Eggman.” PUMA’s online stores and a few other connected retail locations sold both of these pairs of trainers.
The colour palette of the well-known animated character served as a direct inspiration for the collaboration shoe, which was developed in remembrance of the iconic video game Sonic the Hedgehog. The upper is mostly made of a blue-toned, grainy suede material that resembles Sonic’s signature blue fur. A white midsole and red outsole combination also make tribute to the character’s distinctive shoes.
The green and yellow decorative checkered patterns, which represent the path Sonic travels on, are another important source of inspiration. The chevron pattern, on the other hand, substitutes for speed bolsters on the backside.
The red-clad scientist and the swift blue hedgehog are depicted in the Sonic and Eggman sneakers. The trainers don’t actually resemble anything that anyone with any sense of style would wear in public, despite the fact that the two characters are nothing short of iconic.
The majority of the sneaker is made of blue suede, which is textured to mimic Sonic the Hedgehog’s “fur”. The Green Hill Zone, the game’s first level, served as the inspiration for the green and yellow accents.
The “Dr. Eggman” amalgamation on the RS-0 follows the similar strategy. The Eggmobile engine is symbolised by a silver midsole and panels with yellow and black cautionary stripes, while the villain’s showy clothing is portrayed by a glossy red leather top. Similar to Sonic’s version, these shoes have 2D Dr. Eggman images on the insoles and a blue transparent outer sole section. Unquestionably crimson and incredibly dazzling, these trainers are red. The black and yellow caution stripes really just push these shoes over the line; if they weren’t there, they wouldn’t be quite as outrageous.
Having said that, I will admit that the big little Eggman within the shoe is rather cool.
Fila the Hedgehog 2 Ray Tracer Evo.
The Fila x Sonic the Hedgehog 2 shoe, which sports instantly recognisable Sonic components, improves the Ray Tracer Evo silhouette. The slip-on trainers have a top composed of premium mesh and synthetic fibres and a slip-on design. Red is used as an accent colour over much of the shoe, with white accents here and there and a touch of golden yellow (on the tongue) scattered about. White elastic webbing that wraps across the upper provides comfort and easy slip-on functionality.
To provide more detail, the “F” insignia from Fila and the speed indicator from Sonic have been combined. The co-branded symbol is imprinted on both the back heel tab and the front tongue pull. The shoe also boasts a Fila Energised Midsole for increased comfort.
The red and white words “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” and “Fila” are also visible on the insoles. The sock liners are made of repurposed, vibrant materials and have a brighter red accent. The appearance was completed with all-white outsoles and midsoles.
The “611 Red/Red/White” colour scheme was used to spruce up these specially designed Fila shoes. On the official Fila website, they were first made available in April of this year for a price of $110 per pair.
Sonic the Hedgehog x PUMA RS-X3
The PUMA RS-X3 “Sonic the Hedgehog” shoe had its online debut on February 7, 2020 as part of a limited edition capsule collection. Each pair of these sneakers cost $120.
The upper has a base layer made up of tan, powder blue, and black hues and is covered with a translucent patterned sheath. The flat Formstripe pattern, white leather reinforcements on the toe box, midfoot, and eyestays, as well as the zigzagging tan and blue stitched frames, give layers of style. The heels have a metallic gold accent, a debossed black Sonic logo, and a blue suede upper with three gold rings.
A Sonic/RS-X logo and additional gold branding are displayed on the tongue. The three top eyelets have coloured embellishments, and black laces are used to connect the upper part of the shoe. Game duration, high scores, and the number of rings accumulated are the three most important factors in the Sonic universe.
The broad midsole underneath features a text pattern on the heel and is separated into white and yellow colours. The red, blue, and yellow outsoles also add one more burst of colour. Sonic and PUMA’s jumping cat shapes are used on the insoles to finish the design.
The top three Sonic’s Shoes the Hedgehog trainers released were those three. Check out retailers and stockists like EBay, StockX, and others if you want to buy them.
